Wedding live sketching is on-site entertainment where guests receive flattering, hand-drawn portraits during your celebration. Each guest joins the sign-up list, has a quick reference photo taken, and returns to the party while the portrait is created.

Finished sketches are placed in a gallery display for pickup before guests leave. The experience adds something engaging to the reception and gives each person a wedding favour made just for them.

Ryo brings 10 years of professional experience as a senior animation background and visual development artist. That trained eye supports a clean, consistent style with expressive linework and colour.

How does wedding live sketching work? +

Guests add their names to the sign-up list and have a quick reference photo taken. They return to the celebration while the portrait is drawn, then pick up the finished sketch before leaving.

How long are the wedding live sketch packages? +

Wedding live sketch packages are available for three, four, or six hours. The Extended Package offers the strongest hourly value, while the Grand Package includes a custom wedding monogram.

Do you only do weddings? +

Weddings are the primary focus, and live sketching is also available for corporate appreciation events, year-end parties, birthdays, anniversaries, and school or community events.

Can I request a specific style? +

The signature style is editorial and flattering, with expressive linework and minimal colour. The level of stylization can be adjusted within this aesthetic.

What is included in each wedding live sketch package? +

Every package includes live guest sketching materials, protective sleeves and kraft keepsake envelopes, complimentary setup and teardown, and a pre-drawn 8 by 10 inch full-colour framed "Just Married" couple portrait delivered on the wedding day.

Where is Ryoel Live Sketch based? +

Ryoel Live Sketch is based in Burquitlam and serves Vancouver, Metro Vancouver, the Tri-Cities, and other British Columbia destinations by arrangement.

Can guests share their sketches on social media? +

Yes — guests are free to use their own portrait however they like. A consent notice is displayed at the sketch table for any event photos I may use for promotional purposes.
